Nordaq eliminated 25 million single-use bottles in 2020

The Swedish innovation allows restaurants, hotels, casinos, spas, and businesses to filter their own tap water into premium water on-site, and to serve the filtered water, still or sparkling, in reusable glass bottles.

The number of litres of Nordaq water produced on-site have been calculated by the amount of water filters sent out to clients globally, which in total have produced 12’6 million litres of superior water.

Assuming the water was served in 50 cl bottles, this means that Nordaq has eliminated the need for 25.2 million plastic- or glass bottles for one-time usage, in 2020 alone!* And this during a pandemic.

Therefore, not only has Nordaq generated savings on the production of tons of plastic, but also the shipping, transportation, and destruction of all of those bottles otherwise sent from one part of the world to another.

*These calculations are based on a total of our filters that have been sent out in 2020, used at full capacity. In our calculations, we have assumed that the customer used a 50 cl (single-use) bottle before switching to Nordaq.
