Rosewood Yangon is located in a restored heritage building and features 205 spacious guestrooms, suites, and one and two-bedroom Rosewood Residences, in Myanmar. Boasting high ceilings and abundant natural light, most guestrooms also feature patios and balconies where guests can take in views of the majestic Yangon River or the beautifully landscaped internal courtyards.
Rosewood Yangon is currently under soft opening with guestrooms, grand ballroom and three food & beverage outlets available and we are proud to say they chose Nordaq to offer their guests complimentary premium water.
We talked to Patrick Peukert, Hotel Manager Rosewood Yangon, to ask why he chose to work with Nordaq, what other sustainability initiatives Rosewood has lined up and what guests are saying so far.
Why did you choose Nordaq as your complimentary water solution?
“We want to say no to plastic. Rosewood Yangon has opted to serve water to its guests in stylishly designed Nordaq glass bottles with aluminum caps instead. We offer bespoke experiences to our guests and offering water of the highest, premium quality is part of this experience. We, therefore, installed the special Nordaq water filter that has the unique ability to remove impurities and provide superior taste. Furthermore, we are conscious of our environmental footprint and are proud to recycle our water bottles. They are washed with high precision in specially designed racks, allowing them to be reused and contributing to a better planet.”
How have your guests responded to Nordaq water so far?
“Guests are very pleased with Nordaq. Not only are they happy to see that our hotel is striving for sustainability, but also that our associates are taking part in the green movement.
What other sustainability initiatives are you offering or implementing?
“We currently offer guests the option to reuse bath towels and bedsheets in the guestrooms. By not washing sheets and towels on a daily basis we drastically reduce our environmental impact.”
“Another initiative we’re excited to work on at the moment is a collaboration with local partners such as Yangon Walls. They aim to rejuvenate the neighbouring back alleys and create a more liveable community. Together we’re offering an experience called “When the Past Meets Future.” This ultra-exclusive journey allows travelers to access a largely unreachable element of Myanmar’s signature spirit, facilitating a profound and lifelong connection with the destination.”
